1.PARING DISC HEIGHT ADJUSTMENT
The height of the paring disc above the frame hood must be measured if the bowl spindle has been dismantled or if the bowl has been replaced with a new one.
NOTE
Incorrect height position can cause the paring disc (14) to scrape against the paring chamber cover.
Pay attention to scraping noise at start-up after service
.
1.Assemble the bowl and frame hood as described
2. Measure the distance according to the illustration above. Adjust the distance by adding or removing height adjusting rings (7).
3 Fit the support ring (5) and the inlet/outlet housing. Tighten the nut with 30 Nm.
Left-hand thread!
4 Rotate the bowl spindle by hand by means of the flat belt. If it does not rotate freely or if a scraping noise is heard, incorrect height adjustment or incorrect fitting of the inlet pipe can be the cause. Remove the parts and readjust.
5 Finally, fit the safety device.
2. PURIFIER BOWL HEIGHT.
There is a space between gravity disc and water impeller. If the bowl height is increased ,the bowl will move up together with bowl disc so the space will decrease which will cause water to flow to oil side because of insufficient space in water.
Similarly if the bowl height decreases ,the water space will increase causing oil to overflow to water side.
How to adjust bowl height-
- by turning vertical shaft adjusting screw .
-by adding shim by Bowl body.
3. PURIFIER VERTICAL SHAFT HEIGHT
If the vertical height of shaft is increased ,space for the operating water for discharge slide (which is above the bowl ) decreases than sludge port will not close,water will leak through sludge port.
similarly if vertical height is decreased space for water for operating slide (which is below the bowl) is reduce, the sludge port will not open. Sludge discharge will not take place ater will flow to oil side.
If vertical height changes then it will be the clear indication of wear down of the bearing but we have to adjust that else that will cause :
-bowl weight comes to the shaft and purifier will not able to rotate with its desired RPM .
- As discussed above water chamber portion below the bowl is fixed if vertical height changes than holes will not able to coincide and we will not able to provide operating and disludging water to the purifier.
So now the main point is how to adjust it.
-change the bearing if too much worn out .
-if little bit worn out then you can add The Shims.
-if very fine clearance is there then you can able to adjust through height adjustment Bolt.
