Different methods of charging the refrigerant In the system
Ans-We mostly charge liquid refrigerant before the filter drler
Note - Never charge liquid refrigerant to the outlet of the evaporator else liquld refrigerant go to the compressor and damage it.
So these are the steps glven below with whlch you can charge the refrigerant to the system
1. Shut the outlet v/v of the recelver and run the compressor
2. So all the gas start collecting in the receiver
3. Then you will get the LP cutout (nothing going to the compressor that's why LP cutout)
4. LP cutout take place 2-3 times (because it doesnot require manual reset)
5. Then you have to charge the refrigerant
6. At the time of charging alr should not go with the refrigerant that's why we use the recovery
bottle (so from main bottle first we fill the recovery bottle so that line air should gone out and then close the v/v of recovery bottle and then open main v/v on line)
7. So refrigerant start golng from the bottle to the system and then It pass through the evaporator and finally come to the recelver
8. Check the level in recelver when you attaln you level then close the refrigerant charging bottle v/v.
Note-Now we have to collect that refrigerant also which is present in the line for that close the recovery bottle valve and refrigerant charging bottle valve and start the compressor by bypassing the LP cut out so due to vaccum in the line because reciever outlet valve is already shut so due to ,the vaccum compressor suck the refrigerant which is present in the line (we cannot discharge line refrigerant direct to the atmosphere because of the global warming and stringent marpol convention
